Licenses ​

While the DiceBear code is MIT licensed (see Software), each artist chooses the license for their own avatar style. The overview below groups the styles by license, with the artist, the source work, and the license linked for each one.

CC0 1.0 36 styles

These styles use the CC0 1.0 Public Domain Dedication, which is a waiver rather than a license. Creative Commons sums it up like this:

No Copyright

The person who associated a work with this deed has dedicated the work to the public domain by waiving all of his or her rights to the work worldwide under copyright law, including all related and neighboring rights, to the extent allowed by law.

You can copy, modify, distribute and perform the work, even for commercial purposes, all without asking permission. See Other Information below.

Other Information

In no way are the patent or trademark rights of any person affected by CC0, nor are the rights that other persons may have in the work or in how the work is used, such as publicity or privacy rights.

These styles are remixes of works licensed under CC BY 4.0. Creative Commons sums the license up like this:

The artists of these styles wrote their own terms instead of picking a standard license. They describe their work as free for personal and commercial use. Follow the license link on a style to read the terms at the source.
